A Villa Garden, St. John's Wood
Tilting the existing flat lawn to slope towards the house presented a new, angled 'viewing canvas' on which a unique but practical garden design was devised. A series of decorative and functional landscape events using hedges, planting and finely detailed surfaces and textures were laid out along a route culminating at a new garden room. This room forms a retreat at the bottom of the garden where the view back to the house stimulates reflection and contemplation. Daniel Hopwood created concurrent interior design proposals for the house on this project.
