A Chartered Architect by training Simon combines this expertise with his skills in landscape design. He is committed to a career specialising in bringing the two disciplines together. Simon has a proven track record working successfully for many years in both these and related design fields, applying an architect's eye for detail and order with a plants person's empathy for nature. Simon enjoys the challenge of designing with plants and incorporating the changes they impart to a design as they grow.
With a love of gardens and plants, he is passionate about creating beautiful, new, high quality relationships between buildings, interiors and their landscaped spaces and grounds. In his designs, plants, their interaction with built form and attention to exquisite detailing are all equally important. He is at ease working seamlessly with other design professionals and consultants bringing the ideas of each together to create unified design solutions.
Simon is also accomplished in the disciplines of urban design, masterplanning and regeneration, focusing on combining layouts of buildings in beautiful landscape spaces. With the emphasis on sustainability and harmony between built and landscape form, Simon has also worked on large scale public realm projects with a focus on the creation of identity and a Sense of Place.
With a collaborative approach to projects and where our skills cannot be completely matched with the demands of any particular aspect of a brief, we have a trusted network of associated professionals and designers to call upon. Examples include past work with historic landscape consultant Hilary Taylor on the restoration of Battersea Park, London, a Grade 2* Listed landscape; Brita von Schoenaich and Christopher Bradley-Hole, landscape architects and designers working with them on private gardens; Interior designer Daniel Hopwood; and the architectural and interior design studio of Collett Zarzycki.
We work with ANH Photography on photo projects, other artwork and our web site design.
